You've read about it. Or may have a few friends who've gone through it. Perhaps, even you have experienced it. But when it happened to me----*gulps* of all *gulps*---- I really felt unlucky. Yes, Im talking about the CUSTOMS! Our local CUSTOMS. I just saved my 'ONE! The History of Tackey' from the claws of that ebil, ebil, ebil place just this morning (finally!).
01.21.08. I was notified that the aforementioned has been released and what glee was I in that right the following day, I have talked to the Admin people at the office and even the guards to forward to me any parcel that will come under my name anytime soon.
01.23.08. The supposed release of the DVD and yet, I am still waiting for the parcel to come. Tapping my fingers infront of the computer *tap* *tap* *tap*
01.25.08. I received a 'ransom' note from the customs telling me that they have held my parcel hostage at an office far, far away. On the note it says that if I dun claim it within the next 3o days from the day the notification was sent, the parcel will go back to Tackeyland. Well, the simple fact that it was held at the customs was enough to make me shudder....
The days that followed, I was gnawing my nails from anxiety. I wasn't used to getting my Tackey goodies this late! Im not even familiar with the place Im going to claim it from. It's really far from my comfort zone, so to speak.
02.04.08. Even with a deadline to beat, I risked travelling a good 3 hours and waited for more than an hour just to secure the DVDs to safety. The customs personnel, late from attending the company's Monday morning ceremony, started to calculate how much I was supposed to pay for taxes but I was bent on getting out of there with very little damages (and with sanity still intact!). I told her that I had a friend who claimed the same thing and they didn't pay for any taxes except for the release fee. She then looked at me for a moment but I was determined not to 'break' infront of her so I returned a matter-of-factly look back at her. We were like that for a good 5-7 seconds and then she stood up, stamped my card and told me that she'd let me pass. I dun know if I hypnotized her hahahaha~ But well, as I sit at the back of the cab on my way to the office, I was saying to myself---> "VICTORY IS MINE! BWAHAHAHAHA!"~
Of course, that's only until the next parcel comes along. Wish me a big fat luck!

Do u know the real reason tho behind as to 'why' they'd withhold a dvd like that tho? (in the Philippines of all things...seems so strange) In Hawaii, we get stuff witheld but, only if they suspect 'terrorist'-type of threatening tho. Not w/a freakin' dvd. -_-

REIKO, the only reason I could think of is that for a third world country as ours, every way they could extort money is made possible tsk
My 'ONE!' cd was safe from harm but I wouldn't wanna go through that again coz 1) the customs office where I have to pick it from is really, really far from my place, 2) its not a place you'd wanna be sitting and waiting in coz its a very old warehouse where parcels are witheld and 3)i have little patience waiting hours for inefficient customs people! (>,<)/ Funny thing is, it doesnt happen to everyone here. Its by pure badluck/misfortune when your Tackey stuff lands in that office.
Maybe they thought TACKEY is a threat to our national security?! Watching 'ONE!' may induce a nationwide RABID-TACKEY-FANGIRL virus that could turn into an epidemic? XD XD XD
OMG this is so retarted! Here I pay extortionate custom fees but at least I can pay them online and get the parcel delivered at home once it's paid. Mine arrived last week but I haven't had a chance to watch it yet.

Sometimes Im considering not having it by EMS as it appears that I STILL get my parcel late anyway (these days, unfortunately) but then again, if I dun go EMS, I might get the parcel like a month or more after?! tsk tsk tsk so yeah, send me all the good vibes you got, thank you hahahaha~
I haven't really finished watching 'ONE!' yet. I've only scanned through it. Well, for sure it's another great TACKEY production. But i have to admit that Im finding those JR pirouettes more and more errrr....troubling? XD

i just read a similar experience of a guy here whose dvds got "raped" by MDA... now i'm afraid of it happening to me, coz... u know.. with the T&T DVDs, and Yukichan DVDs, and R&J DVDs, calendars.. so many shipments coming up!!

On the contrary, REIKO, I will not poke and say that coz I, myself, haven't really watched the DVD yet. Only scanned through it. As of now, the DVD is STILL in the box on my bed haha I have a feeling that you'd be able to watch and finish it ahead of me hmmm....

Tackey's dorama over NHK early this year is titled 'YUKINOJO HENGE'. Medyo historical themed siya kaya kahit na-miss ko siya parang ok lang. I want him on a modern-day-setting dorama kasi. Pag medyo historical na parang ho-hum *evil* He plays 2 roles there.
